
Turmeric Potatoes and Peppers
There are zillions of ways you can cook potatoes. I like Turmeric Potatoes with Peppers, this is an easy side dish which can go with fish, chicken or even simply with flatbread.
Most people love potatoes, it is typically eaten as French fries or in other form of side dishes. Russet potatoes are an ideal kind that can be fried to crisp golden brown, oven baked or stir fried with so many possibilities.
We make this side dish several times a month as it provides great alternative to eating greens most of the times. Potatoes can be made with so many combinations; I used green hot peppers for this recipe.
You can prepare Turmeric Potatoes with Peppers on stove top in about 15 minutes. All you have to do is skin couple of large russet potatoes, cube it and cook it on stove top with the shown ingredients and spices.
Pour oil in a hot pan, put cumin seeds and green peppers. Cook it for about 10 minutes. Season it with turmeric, salt, and red chili powder and the dish is ready in no time.

Recipe for Turmeric Potatoes and Peppers

Ingredients
- 2 Potatoes Large russet potatoes, cubed
- 4 Green hot peppers sliced
- 2 Tablespoon canola oil
- 1 Teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 Teaspoon turmeric
- 1/4 Teaspoon salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon red chili powder
Instructions

Wash and skin two large russet potatoes and cut them in bite size cubes.

Wash and cut green hot peppers and slice or cube them depending upon the size of the peppers.

Heat canola oil in a pan on the stove top for about a minute.

Add cumin seeds and watch it bubbling for about 30 seconds, stir it to golden brown.

Add potatoes and stir for a minute.

Add green hot peppers, turmeric, salt and stir well to mix.

Reduce heat and cook on medium heat for 8 minutes or till potatoes are tender.

Add red chili powder and stir well to mix.

Taste to add salt and chili powder.

Serve as a side dish with your meal.
